“ I'm obsessed with Shabuya! The soup is absolutely delicious and the perfect comfort food. I've tried a few different combinations, but my go-to is mixing the spicy miso and tonkotsu - it's a game changer! The meat is always super fresh and the quality is top notch. But what really sets Shabuya apart is the service. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and accommodating. I've been to Shabuya multiple times and I've never been disappointed. If you're a fan of hot pot or just looking for a new spot to try, I highly recommend giving Shabuya a shot. You won't regret it! ”
“ Solid place for AYCE hot pot! I had a party of 7 on a Friday night around 6pm and we got sat fairly quickly. I ordered the original house broth. You order the meat but everything else is self serve at the food bar in the middle of the restaurant! Lots of different options for vegetables, mushrooms, noodles, seafood and tofu. There's also a sauce bar at no extra cost! The meat came out pretty quick and they check in often to see if you want to order more. ”
“ I have come here twice in total within one month apart each. First time for lunch, second time for dinner. I'll talk about dinner. Let's start with the pros: Relatively great price for AYCE style hot pot at $35/person roughly. For this price, you get an array of fantastic quality of beef cuts and amazing fried chicken appetizers. You can try them all without feeling guilty because it's all included but trust me, even the fried chicken is a great crunchy and flavorful treat, and the beef cuts are always a must order every time. Second: the salad, noodle and seafood bar in the middle! All sorts of different things to grab and eat which caters to all different kinds of eaters. They got instant noodles, udon, egg noodles, "glassy" noodles and rice noodles. Veggies and vegetarian options include tofu, broccoli, Napa cabbage, spinach, bok choy and bean sprouts. Seafood have fish tofu, fish balls, shrimp, clams, mussels, and fish slices. There's a cornucopia of sauces to make your own dip! Other than water, drinks both nonalcoholic and alcoholic are extras. Otherwise, the server we had named T-Dawg is attentive and quick. Our last set of beef plates came within one minute of ordering, believe it or not! We were shocked! Lastly, I've only found the sukiyaki soup is the only good choice. Other things to note: they were playing the NFL playoffs so the restaurant was average to loud. Not bad at all for this style of dinner. Now the cons: The soups were rather bland. The original house has some flavors but I wouldn't say it was tasty. The miso was alright, and the spicy version wasn't spicy at all which is disappointing. Avoid the tonkotsu flavor. That was the blandest thing I've had and it's a waste. The other thing to note is that I felt the front desk lady was rather standoffish. I came in. No parties in front of me, and three ladies at the front were talking amongst themselves. After one brief hello, they asked for my name which I answered plus my party size. They asked if everyone is here, and I said yes they just parked. In a bit of an annoyed tone, she replied back "well once your party has come through the door, we can seat you. Now go wait outside." If there is one thing that can ruin people's night, it's definitely the front staff. Be warned not to have the front desk lady get under your skin and ruin a good experience at an AYCE hot pot. ”
“ We went to shabuya and took advantage kf their lunch special for 20.99 We got 24 trays of meats, plenty of mussels, clams and veggies. The broths are always top tier and the meats are delicious. The seafood quality was not the best but this place's meats, broths and service are top tier! The meats are ready within a few minutes after you order and these people know how to run this place. ”
“ Amazing soup base and food was delicious. There's a lot more than just hotpot. They have chicken karage and fried dumplings. Overall a great experience. ”
“ Thai is a great server! Very friendly and did not keep us waiting for dishes to arrive. Saturday nights are often busy at this restaurant but we had service like we were their first customers. Will definitely come back! ”
“ Still one of my favorite hot pot places! I'm starting to think I like shabu shabu the most, which is the Japanese version, as opposed to Korean or Chinese. The karagi appetizer is the best. The gyoza is so-so; not enough meat. But the self serve food bar is the best of anywhere! Fish, fish cakes, shrimp, mussels, clams, seafood balls, several kinds of noodles, and lots of veggies. The service is really fast! You order the appetizers and cuts of meat, and before you know it, they're sitting on your table. It's relatively spacious inside and you can access the food bar from both sides. ”
“ My friend and I came here on the week of Christmas and it was pretty busy. We waited in line for about 20min so the wait wasn't too bad. We ordered our soup bases and meats and received them pretty quickly. This is an AYCE hotpot restaurant. There is a self service sauce, veggies, and other extras bar. They were stocked pretty full each time I went up to get my sides. There's a small selection of seafood, veggies and carbs. You also get 8 options of meats. There's no tier levels for this AYCE hot pot place. Quality of the meats and the sides are alright, you get what you pay for! It was pretty busy the night we went and loud, but overall a decent experience! ”
